The buildings in the foreground just got a bit more naked when a wing was torn down. This place was once engine shed for the steam trains that went from Bjärred to Harlösa, via Lund. The building that was de-constructed – yes it literally was de-constructed, stone by stone – was a petroleum warehouse. It would have been 100 years old next year. What remains, the building with the graffiti, was the engine shed, built in 1906. I read the engine shed will be host again, in a few years from now, as a small hotel. And the folks who bought their expensive apartments in that shiny block, they’ll finally get the view they think they deserve. Everybody’s happy.

Love it! The reds in the photo are marvellous, not too bright, instead very intense. And the splot of red to the left counterbalances the house perfectly. And then the obvious contrast between the shiny new building and the leftovers from the warehouse…
Thanks, Thomas! I was lucky with the light conditions.
