Nicely toned. I like how the focus is on the notice board (cylinder?) and we get to see the layers and layers of remnants of obsolete notices. An accumulation of time.

This is what I like with notice boards, all these fragments of wishes and statements that still remain on the board, though being obsolete since long. I found this particular view very sad for some reason, and wanted to emphasise this.

More bicycles! The OOF areas leading you to the board. How did you do that?

  4. Mark says:

An incredibly intriguing image Ove. When I first saw this, my first interpretation was the woman was in one of those ticket selling booths. But then I realized her head was a little bit big in relation to the booth. :-)

Chris, shooting in Lund makes it difficult to not get a bicycle in the view frame. :-) I used a Lensbaby for this one, which I pointed against the notice board. This makes the parts beside the board blurred, even if they would be in focus with a equally dimensioned, conventional lens at the same aperture. The Lensbaby blurs out everything outside the sweet spot, which you can place anywhere in the view frame. You could say that you get DOF also in the view plane.

  6. Ove says:

Well, in a small world, as many say we live in, this would be a common view. :-) Thanks a lot, Mark!
