This is from earlier this year, the last day of April, which in Sweden is celebrated with bonfires. This particular scene is from a temporary amusement park near the central park of Lund, where mostly young people seem to hang. It’s not that amusing, actually, rather the opposite. Quite lame attractions, but hey, what can you expect from a mobile amusement park. It was more fun walking around and watching all the people; there were a lot going on everywhere. Except for the guy in the ticket booth, who seemed to have been doing this for a while. I wonder what he dreamt about?

I find the term “amusement park” to be interesting. it seems a high-class, proper and controlled description-”I believe I shall go to the park and be amused.”
However, most of my experiences with amusement parks have been somewhat less then high class. it’s a common term here in the U.S. but a little research shows it originated in Europe.
Interesting, I would never interpret “high-class” into this term. Most amusement parks around here are like this, mainly mobile and of low standard. There are two (yes, only two!) real amusement parks in Sweden, one in Stockholm and one in Gothenburg. These are permanent installations, and have what I would consider high class.
The tones in this image just astound me, as well as your vision. I’d love to walk around with you, watching you choose your images.
I worked hard with this one to get it like this, so thanks, Chris! I really appreciate your comment on it! I think it would be fun to make photo walks with you, too! It’s interesting to see how different people gets inspiration from completely different things.
