Hi Ove. I got an e-book reader for my birthday this summer (I’m now 60). It’s a Sony and it works well for reading purposes. For my model (I don’t know about others), images are in many shades of grey. In truth, I won’t use the reader much, it will be used a lot by my wife. I am still hooked into holding a book in my hands.

There are not many wild animals were I live, most agricultural surroundings, no woods whatsoever. Lots of rabbits, though. If they want an apple, I’m okay with it.

I have a few of Patterson’s books they are generally well worth the wait. Like the latest photos a lot.
I have an apple tree but you can’t see the fallen apples for the deer eating them as fast as they hit the ground.

Ove: I’m sorry to hear about your troubles. Hopefully the USPS will get their act together and you’ll be able to get your book! They’re usually pretty reliable, but sometimes … You’ll get the book at the right time, I suppose.

Yes, sure, I got the money refunded. Those things usually work well. I must say I’m used to that too, getting what I want when I need it. It takes not longer time and is not much more complicated to send things abroad than cross the states. This time, I was particularly unlucky, I guess.

This post reminds me of a thought I’ve had before, abut how much I take for granted, living in the US, that I can get whatever I want when I want it. Did you get your money back? I’ve heard that is a good book; I hope you are able to get it.

I have no idea of how it feels reading with an e-book reader, but you’re definitely right. I wonder how images appears on such a display, which has been optimized for black text on white background, to be perfectly viewable in daylight.
