So, finally I got to start my solo photo book month. My theme will revolve around bicycles in one way or another; probably another since I have not thought up the story yet. The picture below is one of the shots from today that managed to get through the first filter. Some 75 did, where likely a few will be keepers. I have not yet started editing while I’m not sure how I want the pictures to be in the final book.
I have decided on mainly using two lenses, the 25/1.4 (which corresponds to a 50/1.4 on a 35 mm camera) and the Lensbaby Composer, which in my set-up will be a 50/4 (that is, 100/4 in 35 mm speak). My camera will be the only one I have, a Leica Digilux 3, a wonderful companion.
I will probably do shooting this week, trying not to trash too many pictures in the evenings, and spending next week with selection, organisation and trying to get a flow that works and feels good to me.
Happy sofobomoing, all!

What a great start and what a great idea. The quality of images from the Digilux seem wonderful.
Thanks! And, oh yes, with the right lens this piece of work performs just wonderfully. But, as with all, results can be horrible too, if I for instance select the wrong aperture for a particular lens or aiming on higher ISO than 400 with the camera. It’s not the newest camera on the market, but it works as a traditional, old-school SLR, without too much digital technology, That’s what I like most about it.
And that’s definitely a fine start
Congratulations on your start, Ove. I’m sure that you’ll do fine documenting the venerable bicycle. Don’t worry about the story, though, it will unfold once you start putting it together.
Thanks! Both! And, no, I’m not worried at all. Not yet.
