41 pictures, one cover photo

41 pictures have been selected and processed into B/W. This means I have almost decided to not use colour at all. This is the photo I will use for the cover page, btw:

Lifecycles

Still to do is graphic design of the cover page and body pages, if I will have any design, that is… I might choose to go with all-white for simplicity. I know, that’s a design too. I must also edit the text and picture captions. So, there are still pieces to work on even if most of them are in place.

I made a trial pdf from InDesign yesterday, and it was not big at all. 3 megs, and all pictures seemed to look good on screen. This step should therefore not cause to much problems to me, which indeed is a relief. I don’t have much time for fiddling with export settings to get a descent result for on-screen viewing.

Well, I think this is a great cover and I am so jealous of you being done. I have not yet started. Wonderful!

Thanks, Chris! I wouldn’t say I’m done but 2/3ds done. Of course, if you haven’t started yet, 2/3ds is more or less done. Hope you getting started now, while we write June 1st.

Glad to see that your book is soon to be released. But that shouldn’t be an excuse to put some pressure on those poor souls (like me) who haven’t started shooting yet :)

  • Welcome to my blog about this and that – ditt & datt in Swedish. The topics you'll find here are not always that general, though. You wont find anything on football, for instance. Moreover, all the light will most often be on photographs I made. In fact, if I tell something I find worthwhile telling, I usually stick a few of my photographs to the story. You could almost say this is about photography, and in a way you're right, it is. But it is also about what I see.
